Wood Dale, IL, June 6, 2019 – PHC Corporation of North America was formally recognized by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE), as an ENERGY STAR® Participant, becoming one of the first suppliers of ultra-low temperature freezers and high performance refrigerators and freezers to be approved.

This recognition underscores the PHC Corporation of North America commitment to satisfying a demand from the Canadian marketplace for sustainability and improvements to products marketed throughout Canada and North America under the PHCbi brand.

Official listing as a Participant recognizes the PHC Corporation of North America as among the first to work directly with ENERGY STAR Canada in helping to promote higher sustainability goals while establishing and articulating NRCan standards for compliance for laboratory grade products independently tested and proven to operate more efficiently than conventional products.

A selection of PHC Corporation products have previously been ENERGY STAR Certified by the United States EPA. These include VIP ECO® ultra-low temperature freezers, and high performance laboratory grade refrigerators and freezers.

This voluntary participation demonstrates that PHC Corporation of North America will continue to devote resources to designing products that help customers improve energy efficiency without compromising critical performance parameters associated with biological specimens, vaccines and other high value materials common to the life science industry.
