Introducing Medicom-CK New Electronic Patient Record System for Small- to Medium-size Hospitals. Facilitating Hospital Staff Communication to Enhance Team Medical Care.

TOKYO, August 24, 2018 — PHC Corporation (hereafter PHC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of PHC Holdings Corporation (headquarters: Tokyo, Japan) announced the launch of a new electronic patient record system “Medicom-CK” designed for small- to medium-size hospitals.

The Medicom-CK is an electronic patient record system that assists hospital staff in general and long-term rehabilitation/recuperation hospitals for core medical operations and services. It provides various assistive functions essential in clinical situations such as nursing assistance or rehabilitation support through a simple and easy-to-use interface. Using this system, medical information can be shared quickly among hospital staff members to enhance internal communication and effective teamwork. In addition, linking to PHC’s “Medicom-HSi” medical-receipt computers, Medicom-CK enables smooth accounting, and its user-friendly interface reduces the workload for staff members and improves operational efficiency in hospitals. Medicom-CK is available in a standard package that can be installed with a short lead time, aiming to meet the needs of small- to medium-size hospitals. It will also enhance data sharing within a healthcare group consisting of small clinics and nursing homes*1, cooperation between medical institutions, and encourage integrated community care in the future.

PHC offers value-added products and services through its three core businesses—Medical Devices, Healthcare IT, and Life Sciences. The new product aims to enhance PHC product line-up of Healthcare IT business and expand its focus areas from clinics to general hospitals.
