TOKYO, July 12, 2019 - PHC Corporation (headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan, hereafter PHC) announces Medicom-HRf, a new integrated electronic patient record system for clinics that enhances work efficiency for doctors and provides better healthcare services to patients.
With today’s increasing diseases mainly linked to aging populations, medical examination time and resultant additional burdens required of busy medical professionals are rising. By improving their work efficiency, more precise medical treatments that match individual patients are demanded.
The Medicom-HRf is designed for ease of use for new medical practitioners to respond to these needs of medical facilities, aiming to improve doctors’ work efficiency by simplifying data input operation and as a result, to provide better healthcare services for patients. Medicom-HRf enhances doctor/patient communications with faster input for medical records through a simple and easy-to-see graphic interface design as well as checking inspection results and the past medical record information at the same time while inputting information to patient medical records. In addition, the user assistance function displays search results of prescribed drugs and disease names in order of frequency and data entry date for quick search and data input.
PHC is a global healthcare company that offers value-added products and services in diabetes care, diagnosis, life sciences and healthcare IT. This new product will expand the product lineup of our healthcare IT business.
Takayuki Otsuka, member of the board and director of the Medical Information Systems (Medicom) Division said, "It was back in 1999 that our company began the electronic patient record system business and now has gained the top share (*1) in the domestic market.
