Proven performance
Our customers need lab equipment that delivers razor-sharp precision and uniformity, time after time. They value proven performance. With the first VIP-insulated ULT freezer introduced 20 years ago, the reliability of this technology is thoroughly tried and tested. However, Panasonic continues to carry out extensive performance- and safety testing to explore every aspect of freezer performance.
Refrigeration components are carefully selected and matched for optimum operation under demanding laboratory environments. Compressors, which were specifically designed for ULT applications, are employed within the proven Panasonic cascade refrigeration system to ensure the highest levels of performance and reliability. And VIP Ultra Low Temperature Freezers are managed by an intelligent, integrated microprocessor controller with a clear, easy-to-read, digital display that ensures precise uniformity and allows monitoring without opening the freezer doors, which contributes to maintaining uniformity within the chamber.
Many of the VIP Ultra Low Temperature Freezers are certified as Class IIa Medical Device. Panasonic was one of the first major international companies to be awarded certification in compliance with the European Union’s Medical Device Directive for a wide range of refrigeration products in 201. Since then, it has continued with commitment to certification of key products and its quality systems to ensure that Panasonic products meet all current and future regulatory requirements.
Maximum sample storage
Our customers face the challenge of optimising sample storage of large volumes of samples with limited lab space. They value maximum sample storage.
VIP Insulation maximises storage capacity, whilst maintaining precise uniformity. VIP Ultra Low Temperature Freezers with 70mm VIP Insulation provide up to 30% more storage capacity than a conventionally insulated freezer, without increasing the footprint. VIP PLUS technology incorporates a revolutionary vacuum insulation cabinet construction that reduces wall thickness by approximately one half. As well as saving space, it also contributes to overall energy efficiency of the freezer due to the low thermal conductivity of the insulation. In addition, adjustable shelving options optimise the use of this extra space.

Our customers are commonly required to store a growing number of samples. In addition, some face staff or lab expansion, which often means that additional, new equipment needs to be included in lab space. Most often, they value every square metre of lab space and welcome improvements that mean they can use the space available more efficiently.
VIP Ultra Low Temperature Freezers with VIP Insulation provide up to 30% more storage capacity than a conventionally insulated freezer, without increasing the footprint. Although the internal capacity of VIP ULT Freezers is increased, especially with VIP PLUS insulation, the freezers have conventional depths for easy installation. And, high volume models are available in the VIP ULT Freezer range.
